DetailsCandlemas Dolls represent the hinge between Winter & Spring, marked by Imbolc, a Pagan Sabbat that celebrates the melting of the snows & the burgeoning of the earth. Candlemas itself celebrates the return of the sun (light) & the end of winter (dark).
This listing is for one of these Candlemas Dolls, each made with natural corn husks sourced locally, measuring between 9-10” tall. Choose between the dress or pants designs.
Each doll is wrapped with white twine & adorned with a white & green chiffon smock & hood. The headwreath is made with grapevine, faux greenery, white mulberry paper flowers, & white beeswax candles (real beeswax candles, though we don’t recommend lighting them), with a piece of white chiffon hanging from the back.
Each doll comes wrapped in cellophane & includes an info card.
Add a wood stand to hold your doll upright. *Stand does not work on the dolls with legs / pants. -

To care for your smudge feather or feather quill, place it in an upright position. If the feather should fray, place it over hot steam & straighten out the feather with your fingertips.

We love our Imbolc Poppet! I ordered this so it would arrive in time for this year's Imbolc. I intended it as a gift for my wife, when I unwrapped it I couldn't wait until the actual day to give it to her. She was so surprised and excited to get it. It is a gorgeous doll, so incredibly well made. We will definitely order from this shop again!
