DetailsAugust First marks the first harvest in a series of harvests before the Winter Solstice approaches. Archetypes like the Sickle & Wheat Heads symbolize the coming harvests, the Earth’s abundance, & the idea of reaping that which we’ve seen throughout the year.
This small sickle or harvest knife has a wood handle & curved steel blade. The wood handle has a wrapped burned into it with a sun symbol above & a moon symbol below it. It is stained a golden oak & has removable cream colored yarn tasseling it.
Use to harvest small plants & herbs from your garden & to hang on your altar from Lughnasadh through Samhain. -

To care for your smudge feather or feather quill, place it in an upright position. If the feather should fray, place it over hot steam & straighten out the feather with your fingertips.

I just got my witch's sickle today, and just like every item I have ordered from Crimson Sage, it is absolutely beautiful. I have ordered other wall decor, teas, smudge bundles (so many beautiful things) that come obviously conceived and assembled with care. These days, my creative space feels more creative, more nurturing-- more mine--than it ever has before. I do a lot of writing (as a freelance contributor to several publications and creative nonfiction for myself) and I love the new energy that Crimson Sage items (like my most recent purchases, the sickle and the witch sign) have brought into my home office. Bottom line: If you see something you like, order it-- I promise you won't be disappointed!
