This artisan crafted Copper Cauldron is forged and finished in our shop by metalsmith, Tucker Jameson.
Each one measures approximately 6” in Diameter and 2” Deep and includes a description card signed and wax-sealed by the artist.
Hammer forged out of thick 18 gauge copper for a nice heft and gorgeous textured finish that feels great to touch and hold. Each piece is forged with intention and attention to detail. The refined, yet imperfect nature of the finish, shape, and detail, showcases the energy and connection of the craftsman and tools with the material. The base of the bowl is finished flat for additional stability. It can be used as an offering or altar bowl, candle holder, incense burner*, herb dish or drier, singing bowl, valet dish, or simply as a beautiful accent or centerpiece, in your home or on your table. Included is a Wood Lotus Tripod Stand, perfect for cradling the dish and providing an elevated display, while also conserving space on your altar or table. The three legs of the stand also allow the bowl to be level on uneven surfaces, great for spiritual and ritual working in nature.
Copper is a natural metal element. Because of its unfinished surface the bowl will naturally patina & color based on your environment, handling, & specific uses or materials that come into contact with the metal. This creates a beautiful & unique connection between the piece and you! It is a great way to create a deep spiritual and aesthetic bond with your piece that will continue to evolve over time. This item is durable enough to last many lifetimes and as such can make a great heirloom piece.
If you do wish to maintain its pure copper finish, you can use any of the following; copper cleaner, metal polishing cloth, baking soda, soap & water, scouring pad, or sandpaper/cloth (400 grit or higher). Be aware that any cleaning method may altar the original finish, especially scouring pads or sandpaper.
Copper is a conductor of energy that intensifies when used with other earthly elements. It is said that crystals, herbs, & resins can enhance the properties of the copper. Copper is often used in meditation and is said to induce calm & serene energy. The bowls also sing when tapped on the edge with a crystal spear or metal rod. The energy of copper is also said to help enhance psychic intuition and can open the senses in spell casting.
This cauldron can be used in rituals & alchemy to magnify the energy transfer between the bearer & other natural elements. Copper is also a potent cleanser & can help remove negative energy from a space, while charging protective tools, like amulets & sigils. Burning sigils, ritual incense, scrying with water or sand, charging crystals, & for holding offerings to the deities are just some of the ways our cauldrons have been used in practice.
The idea is that the copper vessel amplifies the energy of whatever it’s holding, creating a tether between it & the spiritual realm, allowing for manifestation & blessings to occur. ✨
*Incense and herbal bundles can be burned directly in the bowl, but will get hot enough to cause burns if not allowed to cool. Be sure to use on a heat/fire resistant surface and allow to cool completely before handling. It is possible to protect the finish and keep the bowl cool by placing salt or sand in the bottom of the bowl before burning.
