The small log is great for those without fire places or bonfires! This log can be burned in a small cauldron, incense burner, or fireproof bowl. It can also be used as a mini Yule altar decoration.

The set includes:
-2 Small Natural Birch Logs (Each one measures 2-3” long with a .5-1” circumference)
-2 pieces of parchment paper & wax thread

Translated through both Norse & German, Yule literally means “the festivities” with various traditions & mythology surrounding the season’s aspects. One of the traditions is the burning of the Yule log. Traditionally, the largest & heaviest log was chosen & pulled by multiple people to the village or town with the intention that the log would stay alight throughout the longest night. Today, the Yule log is still an avidly practiced tradition, burned for keeping evil spirits & negativity at bay & to ensure prosperity & protection throughout the household. It can be decorated with evergreens & sprinkled with wine, cider, oils, & salts. A lot of people use the Yule log as a symbol of the season, to rid oneself of negative influences throughout the year & to set goals for renewal. Write that which you would like to rid yourself of, or that which you’d like to attract & tie it around a birch log before adding to a Yule fire. The idea is that, as it burns, your intention will be set out into the universe.
