DetailsThe Ancient Romans believed that scents were a direct connection between them & the gods, a way to communicate divinity & devotion. At a time when Rome was littered by the scents of garbage, defecation, & decay, they became obsessed with bathing rituals. They created architecturally lavish thermal bath rooms called Unctoriums, where bathing became a sort of festivity & entertainment that became a way of life for Ancient Romans, until Christian ideology became the dominant force. At these bathing events, gods were honored & celebrated, wine & food was passed around, & they enjoyed the luxuries of fine oils, clays, & floras to cleanse their bodies.
This oil blend contains ingredients known for their fragrant quality & safe use on skin:
✨Organic Golden Jojoba Oil: (carrier oil base) is associated with healing, protection, & purification. Jojoba Oil is also a powerful skin cleanser & moisturizer that helps to balance skin oils.
🍇Organic Grape Seed Oil: (carrier oil base) represents the grapes that were utilized for their medicinal, culinary, & fragrant qualities. Grape seed oil is also a non-greasy carrier oil for Sage application.
🌿Organic Oat Oil: (carrier oil base) is associated with nurture & healing & helps to soothe dry, itchy, & irritated skin.
🌹Rose Damask: balances skin's oil production, reduces appearance of aging, renewing & revitalizing skin.
✨Vanilla: the subtle notes of Vanilla in this oil has calming qualities & is helps to stimulate love, lust, & passion. Vanilla oil also has antioxidants for neutralizing free radicals & removing impurities.
🪔Myrrh: was widely used by the Romans for bath & beauty products. Myrrh is an antibacterial & antimicrobial that helps to cleanse skin & reduce acne.
*Please note: the scent is rather light due to the additional carrier oils that help to dilute it & make it skin safe & beneficial.
Comes in a 1oz amber glass dropper bottle & is carefully packaged in a black tube adorned with a velvet ribbon & red tassel. -
