All of our flower crowns are inspired by ancient & traditional flower crowns with a modern twist. Each crown is an original design & one of a kind. We do not produce multiples of our designs nor do custom crown orders, in order to maintain the integrity of our creativity. They are made with quality materials & designed with durability & versatility in mind, so that they may be functional pieces of art for everyone! These crowns can be worn in ceremony, coven rituals, photo shoots, costumes, festivals, & even hung as decoration.
It is believed that Lupercalia is a festival celebrating the she wolf & the Roman fertility god, Lupercus for helping the twins Remus & Romulus to survive so that they might build the Roman empire. It also celebrates love, passion, fertility, & the consecration. Symbolically, Lupercal (to whom they named the she-wolf) represents strength, motherhood, & the founding of Rome.
It is made with a red braided faux suede headband, faux black hydrangeas & black roses, faux gold leaves, & adorned with a brass stamped pendant featuring cherubs. Hanging from the crown are brown & gold tassels, red velvet ribbons, & rose & gold decorated jacquard ribbons. It has a black velvet backing lined with gold trim detail & is adorned with a brass wolf pendant.
This crown measures nearly a foot high from the bottom of the headband to the peak of the flowers, nearly a foot wide, & with 18” long ribbons that hang down.
*This crown is relatively top heavy, but extremely durable, though it will break if not treated with care. After wearing your crown, hang it on the wall to keep it unharmed (plus, it makes an excellent decoration!) Headbands are flexible & can fit any size or shape head, though they will not fit behind the ears well if wearing glasses. In that case, they can be worn in front of the ears.
