DetailsThe Welsh flower maiden, Blodeuwedd is another goddess associated with Spring. Blodeuwedd literally translates to “flower face”, referring to her creation from wild flowers & sea foam. She was created by divine magicians to be the bride of Llew Llaw Gyffes, & they later turned into an owl for betraying her husband with her lover Gronw. This story represents the fiercer, more uncontrollable side of nature that cannot be tamed. She is also a reminder of the beauty of the natural world, & thus, the rediscovery of our own beauty & the wilder parts of ourselves, which can bring renewal & blossoming.
